Hi, everyone. Hope you're all doing okay following this awdul, awful news.

Some of you already know me; for those that don't, my name is Remy and I am an admin on this site. You might have seen me around on tumblr, where my url is chestercbennington, or twitter, where my handle is remy_areyousrs.

All I want to say today is this- we are not just a fandom. We are a family. Now more than ever we need to stick together and be there for each other and the band. They need us. And we need each other. All we can do now is be together, be united, and prove to the boys that they've done good in this world. This is the legacy Chester left us. He has saved so many of us from ourselves. He has saved so many lives, and he means so much to all of us. Now more than ever we need to stay strong. He would want us to.

He taught us hope, and love, and kindness with every word and action of his. He taught us how to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and move on. He taught us how to keep going when it seems the world is against us. He taught us that no matter what, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I cannot imagine what he must have been thinking. His death is awful and heartbreaking and I haven't stopped crying since I first heard. But his death is not meaningless. If you or a loved one is struggling with mental illness, depression, suicidal thoughts etc., please reach out. Please. You are important and loved and needed. Suicide is never the answer.

Chester's legacy is the amount of lives he's saved, all the people that he helped feel less alone. It should not end with his death. It is up to us to keep it going. We're his legacy. We need to keep strong and move on, and make him proud of us. We need to show the band that everything they have achieved does not end with Chester. We have to show them that what they do has truly made a difference. They need us just as we need them. Let's not let Chester down.

Call a friend or family member. Call a hotline. Call whoever it takes. But please reach out. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, I promise. I swear. Suicide is never the answer.

Today we lost Chester. I hope and pray we don't lose anyone else. He wouldn't have wanted that.

If anyone wants to add something, or just talk, please drop a comment. If you need someone to talk to, I am here. You can contact me on my tumblr (http://chesterbennington.co.vu) or twitter (https://twitter.com/remy_areyousrs), or even privately (just ask for my mobile number). I'm here to listen and help in any way that I can.

I'll take my leave with a quote from the angel himself:

Who cares if one more light goes out in a sky of a million stars? ...I do.

Love,

Remy
