What an exceptionally unique and beautiful story! Your writing is such a pleasure to read, and the way you explored the pyschology behind the tattoos was really fascinating. I like how Brad and Chester are both so very imperfect and yet they work, and I loved your descriptions of Mike as a drug dealer. The whole thing was really lovely. <3

You, my friend, are a superb writer. (Note that I didn't say "mind-boggling" this time-yay for continuing to use other adjectives even if they don't quite accurately convey how good of a writer you are!) I loved this piece. The descriptions of the pain of tattooing ("a cat clawing away at a raw sunburn," I think is what you said?) and how he would mutilate himself in a way to try and be beautiful sent shivers down my spine, and I enjoyed every minute of it. You made him to be a very real and believable character, so you could really see where he was coming from. This whole piece was just amazing. 5/5 from me, and I don't give those out lightly. :-) But for you, Lee dear, 5/5 doesn't seem like a high enough rating.
